2. Keyword Research
I don’t see many people talking about this, but to get visitors to your website every day, you will need to bring them through a link, either from a search engine, or from a site that is discussing your article topic. So, to get website traffic, you’ll need to do a
little search engine optimization along with some keyword research. Don’t worry, it’s free to do, and doesn’t take much time.
Here’s how to do it: Google the “google keyword tool”, and choose the first link from google. Enter in your root keyword for your subject. Find some keywords with decent search volume.
Be sure you have some a tool called search status, a free add-on for firefox, and then take your search terms, and google the keywords that have some search volume. What you are looking for is
an entry on the first page of google that isn’t from a top ranked website, with not too many backlinks.
With search status, you can click the new seo entries under the search results to find other sites that link to the pages listed.

Note how many sites have few external links to their page or even site, so getting on the first page of google for this term is
pretty straight forward. Note also the number of ads running for this term, which tells you it is a search term you can monetize easily.
Once you have found a keyword with good search volume, and the ability to rank on the first page of google, then write your headline with this keyword, making it a compelling subject that any interested person would read and click on to learn more.
Ideally, you’ll want your article to be breezy, easy to read, and helpful. some ideas are to make your content into bullet points, and itemize them so all the information is in bit-sized pieces.
You want to write how a grade 7 student writes, with simple words, and paragraphs that are easy to read.
In your title, I like to make it an unresolved solution, meaning the reader must click into the article to discover what you are promising to deliver.
Content is king, so tips that help your visitors are what keep them engaged, and having a free offer is always a good way to grab their attention.
You want to take your top ideas, copy them into your article, use words related to the keyword you are targeting, and use this a few times in the article.
Include your keyword in your title of your article, and in the first paragraph of the article, and maybe a few times in the remaining body of the article.
These basic article writing tips are essential to write an article that you publish to your web site, and if you do that (and I highly recommend you have your own blog where you publish your articles first),
then be sure the web page contains your keyword as well.
3. Quality Content
It’s essential to make sure your reader is happy with your article, so do the research and publish a good quality article, and not one that is vague and unfocused. By providing top quality content that people appreciate, you’ll have the chance
to get others to link to your site, to refer others to read your article, and maybe even print it out. It should be something you are proud to put your own name on.
4. Leave Them Wanting More
There’s no point to write a pro article that answers every question your reader has, since your objective is to get them to take action, to click on an offer you are making, or to have them click over to a page on your website, so do not write such a good article that
you leave them with no questions. Your article shoudl create desire with the words you use, and make it easy for them to want to take the action you put into your author resource box.
5. A Clear Call To Action
In your author resource box, you want the reader to be able to know clearly what you want them to do, be be able to click through to whatever it is you want them to click on. Don’t be shy here, and be certain to tell them in no uncertain terms what you want them to do.
Words are powerful, and I recommend you take out everything that is unneccessary, to make every statement impactful and useful. Make sure visitors find what you promised in your headline, and then give them a reason why they need to click on your link.
If you can make your article like Noah’s ark, meaning the only place they can go to, to find the answers they seek, then you will have a very powerful article. You can do this by picking a well chosen keyword with traffic but not too much competition, and then writing a killer article that gives them trust and dependence on you, along with a link for more information.
It is a little bit of work, and although you can write an article like this in 20 minutes or less, it will sometimes take you longer, to put it in a format and written in a way that brings in visitors and profits.
Don’t forget, once our ezine article is published, you need to do some web promotion, and the best way is by social bookmarking and to submit your article to article directories like ezinearticles. There are article submission services that can help you. Personally, I like to write one killer article for my site, and then to take either an extract of it, or write a separate article, and submit this to the various directories, because that way my site’s content will not get delisted because some other website has the same content. 3. No Call To Action
Don’t assume everything is easy, and that readers can read your mind. Spell everything you want out as explicitly as you can, and tell them exactly what they need to do. Your newsletter response will double simply by putting in clear directions on what they should do.
4. Freedom of Speech
Yes, you have a right to say whatever is on your mind, but be careful if you want to put down products or people in your article. Defamation and lawsuits do happen, so avoid putting anything in a form that might get you into trouble.
